    FAQs

What if my exhibit is at school and I can’t get access to it?

You don’t need your actual exhibit. All you need is a picture of the exhibit and each section.

What if I don’t have a picture of my exhibit?

You can recreate your exhibit by inserting your images and text to our Google Draw template. Save as a JPEG and insert into your Exhibit Template file. Crop this image to create your images for the other slides.

Does each member of a group need to upload the project?

No. Only one student per group needs to upload the project.

Do I need to include an Entry Number on my project?

No. We will add the entry number to your project.

Can we add slides to the template?

No, adding slides is not allowed. Students can change the font size to fit their text on the slides provided. Since it is submitted as a PDF judges will be able to enlarge the file. Please make sure your text does not go off the edges of the slide or when you make your PDF it will be cut off.

What if I want to improve my exhibit?

We encourage you to improve your exhibit. It is okay if the text and photos you include in your template do not match what is shown in the photos. The judges will only refer to/judge the text you include in your Exhibit Template as your “final” version.

If you’ve significantly changed the images or design of your exhibit, we encourage you to recreate it in Google Draw using this template.

What if I made my exhibit with a computer graphics program? Do I have to print my PDFs and build an actual exhibit?

You do not have to print your PDFs and rebuild your exhibit. Instead, save them as JPEGs and insert these into the NHD-CA Exhibit Template in place of photos.
