Open the NHD-CA Poster Template and follow the instructions on the first page. Once complete, save your template as a PDF. DO NOT ADD SLIDES TO THE TEMPLATE.

Save your combined file with the following naming format:
[separate last names by a underscore]
ex. – Elem_GroupPoster_Ortiz_Krishnan_Adams.pdf
Have a JPEG photo ready of your poster (students must not be pictured with your project). You will be asked to upload one along with your template which will be used for public viewing. You can also create a JPEG from a PDF if you used Google Draw or other editing software to create your picture.

How will posters be submitted?
All posters will be submitted using the NHD-CA Poster Template. Photos of your poster along with text will be pasted into the template. Once you are done you will save your Poster Template as a PDF and submit it by the deadline.
Does each member of a group need to upload the project?
No. Only one student per group needs to upload the project.
Can we add slides to the template?
No, adding slides is not allowed. Students can change the font size to fit their text on the slides provided. Since it is submitted as a PDF judges will be able to enlarge the file. Please make sure your text does not go off the edges of the slide or when you make your PDF it will be cut off.
Do I need to include an Entry Number on my project?
No. We will add the entry number to your project.
What if my poster is at school and I can’t get access to it?
You don’t need your actual poster. All you need is a picture of your poster.
What if I don’t have a picture of my poster?
You can recreate your poster by inserting your images and text to this Google Draw template. Once your are done, save as a JPEG and then insert it into the Poster Template. Crop this image to create your images for the other slides.
What if I want to improve my poster?
We encourage you to improve your poster. It is okay if the text and photos you include in your template does not match what is shown in the photos. The judges will only refer to/judge the text you include in your Poster Template as your “final” version.
If you’ve significantly changed the images or design of your poster, we encourage you to recreate it in Google Draw using this template.
What if I made my poster with a computer graphics program? Do I have to print my poster?
You do not have to print your poster. Save them as JPEGs and insert them into the NHD-CA Poster Template.

How will posters be submitted?

Once you are done you will add your title page, process paper, and bibliography PDF to your Poster Template pdf and upload this by the April 24th deadline.
