Celebrate Learning - Make it a Contest
Students are encouraged to showcase their work at a contest. Students are eligible to adanvce to the next level of competitions. Students can revise their work in between contests.
County Contests
Contact your county coordinator to find information on participating in your local county contest. The champions from each county are eligible to advance to the NHD-CA State Competition held each spring.
State Contest
NHD-CA, one of the largest state History Day competitions takes place each spring with over 1,600 participants. The competition is open to champions from each county grades 4-12.
National Contest
California Champions advance to the National History Day competition that is held each June at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. Over 3,000 students complete each year in this final History Day round.
