2026 Tulare County Competition
General Information
The 2026 Sacramento History Day Competition will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Jim Vidak Education Center in Visalia, CA.
Champions will advance to the NHD-CA State Competition

Note: Students must be accompanied by a parent or teacher chaperone at all times while on campus.

Optional - January 27, 2026: Student Art Competition Entries and Registration Due
February 12, 2026: NHD-Tulare County History Day Competition
Cost: $20 per student
Champions Only - February 19, 2026: NHD-Tulare County Project Feedback Day
Special Awards
Occasionally, local clubs and organizations offer special awards to History Day projects. These clubs and organizations determine their criteria and judges nominate projects for those awards. All awards are announced at the NHD-Tulare County awards ceremony at the end of the event.
Volunteer Judge Information
NHD-Tulare County will take place in February 2026. Students will submit exhibits, posters, documentaries, websites, podcasts and performances. Judges are needed to score projects, conduct student interviews, and provide feedback.
